  3. The program on this disk is version 3.7 of our Windows audio CD Player
  4. program.  It provides complete control over the playing of audio CDs and the
  5. ability to catalogue your collection and browse through it.

  18. Version 3.7 incorporates an Auto Play function that allows the system to play
  19. a CD on insertion without you needing to select the play command. It is
  20. possible to set Windows 95 to launch CDPlayer (instead of the Microsoft
  21. player with the command line parameter of "/p" to activate the auto play
  22. function. This allows you to insert for auto play audio CDs even if CDPlayer
  23. is not loaded at the time that the CD is inserted.  See the Addendum at the
  24. beginning of the Windows manual, or the file UPDATE.TXT, for more information.

  32. DOS CDPLAYER and MEMORY RESIDENT CD PLAYER
  33.  
  34. This disk should also contain a copy of CDPlayer(TM) for DOS.
  35.  
  36. Registered users will receive a resgistered copy of CDPlayer for DOS and
  37. CDtsr(TM), a memory resident CD player.  This program allows DOS users, who are
  38. running text based programs, to pop up a CD handset similar to that contained
  39. in CDPlayer.  This is very handy for pausing the CD to take a phone call,
  40. carrying on with your current application and then resuming play by popping up
  41. the handset a second time.  Also for playing a new CD without having to close
  42. down your current application.

  48. This not normally distributed with the evaluation programs - a copy of
  49. the text is provided on the disk in a file called MANUAL.WIN.  This file
  50. may be printed by typing:

  58.      (where A: and LPT1: are replaced with the disk drive and printer port
  59.      you are using)

  105. INSTALLATION (for those reading this before running SETUP.)
  106.  
  107. CDPlayer will run under windows 3.0 or later.  The following steps will add
  108. CDPlayer to your windows system.
  109.  
  110. 1       Unpack the contents of the ZIP file to a floppy disk or a scratch
  111.         directory on your hard disk.
  112.  
  113. 2       Launch windows
  114.  
  115. 3       Click on File and then Run
  116.  
  117. 4       Enter A:SETUP and click Continue - replace A with the letter
  118.         appropriate to your floppy disk or the path of the temporary drive.
  119.  
  120. 5       Follow the instructions on the screen.
  121.  
  122. The install program will install CDPlayer for windows in a directory called
  123. CDPlayer on drive C by default, create a Program Group called Jupiter and
  124. create Program Items.  You may change the default directory during
  125. installation.

  127. You may launch CDPlayer by double clicking on the icon in the Jupiter Program
  128. Group.
